School Uniform
At Scoil Chlochair Mhuire, our school uniform is something we wear with pride. The moment your child puts it on, they are instantly recognisable as a member of our school community, and that sense of belonging matters to us.
Following consultation and collaboration with parents, the school is currently phasing out the traditional uniform in favour of the new school tracksuit option.
The school tracksuit, which is grey and red, is worn with a white or red polo shirt underneath.
We also have school shorts and a school jersey.
For parents of children from Senior Infants upwards who wish to continue wearing the traditional uniform during the transition period, the following may be worn:
● Grey trousers, skirt, or pinafore
● Grey jumper with school crest
● White shirt or blouse
● Red tie
Our uniform has been chosen to be smart, practical and easy to care for and we appreciate the effort families make to keep children looking their best.
Where to buy The uniform is available from Savage Kids@Hyde's Children's Fashions, Main Street, Midleton. You can contact them by phone at (021) 463 3780. The team there are very familiar with our uniform and will be happy to help.
Uniform Swap Shop We know that school uniforms are a real cost for families and we want to keep that cost as manageable as possible. That is why we run a Uniform Swap Shop, usually held in June each year. Simply bring in any uniform items your child has outgrown and browse what others have brought in. You may well find a great condition, new-to-you piece that fits perfectly. It is good for your pocket and good for the planet and it is one of those small things that makes our school community feel like just that — a community.
Please label everything We ask that all uniform items, shoes, and personal belongings are clearly labelled with your child's name. With hundreds of children in the building every day, unlabelled items are very difficult to reunite with their owners. The school cannot accept responsibility for any uniform or personal items that are lost or mislaid.
