Before & After School Services

Sherpa Kids at Scoil Chlochair Mhuire

Scoil Chlochair Mhuire has partnered with Sherpa Kids Ireland to provide a high-quality Before & After School Care service for families in our school community.

Our programme runs Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 6:00pm, offering children a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment at the end of their school day. During school holidays, we also provide Holiday Care from 9:00am to 5:00pm to support working families.

A Familiar, Safe and Supportive Environment

The Sherpa Kids programme takes place on-site in Scoil Chlochair Mhuire, meaning children remain in the familiar surroundings of their school and with their peers. This provides reassurance for both children and parents, while also removing the need for additional pick-ups or drop-offs during the working day.

At Sherpa Kids, every child is considered a Sherpa Kid, and our approach to care is guided by two key principles that are at the heart of everything we do:

Our team creates a welcoming and inclusive environment where children can relax, play, and enjoy time with their friends after the school day.

  • We understand that school holidays often do not align with the time off available to working parents. To support families, Sherpa Kids offers extended holiday care programmes during school breaks. These programmes provide children with a fun and engaging environment while offering parents reliable childcare during holiday periods.

  • Sherpa Kids and the Family Resource Centre participate in the National Childcare Scheme (NCS). Through this scheme, parents may receive up to €3.75 per hour towards childcare costs, depending on their circumstances.
