School Meals

At Scoil Chlochair Mhuire, we are delighted to offer a school meals service through The Lunch Bag (thelunchbag.ie), a provider we are proud to work with.

The Lunch Bag hires locally from within the school community, sources fresh ingredients from local Irish suppliers, and places community, connection and quality at the heart of everything they do. Their staff have completed Child Protection training with Barnardos, so you can be confident that the people handling your child's lunch take their responsibilities seriously.

Ordering is straightforward and done online, giving parents full flexibility to choose meals in advance. Menus are varied and nutritious and many children find that the school meals service introduces them to foods they might not otherwise try which is always a bonus.

All meals meet the national nutritional standards for school meals and the menu is suitable for children with common food intolerances and allergies, including lactose-free, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Allergen information is clearly available.

The school meals service is entirely optional, families who prefer to send a packed lunch from home are of course welcome to do so. We simply ask that lunches are healthy and nut-free.
