Physical Education (PE) – Curriculum Evaluation Report 2026

The Department of Education’s Curriculum Evaluation Report celebrates the very high standard of teaching and learning in Physical Education in our school. Pupils were recognised for making excellent progress in developing their physical skills, coordination and confidence across a wide range of activities.

The report praised the enthusiasm and active participation of our pupils, highlighting the highly positive learning experiences provided in PE. Teaching was described as highly commendable, with examples of excellent practice, and lessons were well organised to ensure pupils could participate, develop their skills and enjoy being active.

Our whole-school planning and commitment to continuous improvement were also recognised as effective in supporting pupils' learning. We are delighted that the report reflects the positive, engaging and supportive PE experiences we strive to provide for every child.
