History Walk around Carrigtwohill

5th classes went on a history walk around the village today. We learned all about the Poor Servants of the Mother of God convent, the beginnings of St Aloysius College, the old Royal Irish Constabulary Barracks and its demise, we learned about the Abbey Ruins, St. Mary’s Church, David’s Church and the Old Graveyard. It was a glorious day to explore the history of our surroundings.
